Joel Taylor

Composer

When Sydney Australia-turned-LA-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Joel was born, everyone around him knew he was pre-destined to be an artist. After fine-tuning his craft in a musical family that included everything from his boogie-woogie piano playing grandfather, a founding member of Col Joy & The Joy Boys, one of Australia’s very first rock bands to learning how to play New Orleans stride from his mom, music was in his blood. Joel left Oz straight out of high school to follow his dream in Los Angeles where like his idol, Billy Joel, he plied his trade at local piano bars playing for the contents of a tip jar. After building a repertoire of a thousands songs, Joel turned to honing his own songwriting skills, and collaborating with artists all over the world. He has performed and recorded with the likes of: The Doors, Ed Sheeran, Steven Tyler, Slash, Guy Sebastian, and Prince, to name but a few.
